Stacy Cordes primarily advises clients on debtor-creditor disputes and related matters. Ms. Cordes has represented clients in all types of litigation before state and federal courts. Her practice includes lender workouts, foreclosures and small business disputes and dissolutions. Whether through formal mediation or out of court negotiated workout, Ms. Cordes’ strength is working to resolve complicated disputes. If bankruptcy is the best option, then Ms. Cordes will also walk through the process with clients and file Chapter 7 cases. Ms. Cordes has represented creditors in all chapters of bankruptcy.
Ms. Cordes has served in various positions within North Carolina Bar Association including serving on the Board of Governors and chairing the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Mecklenburg County Bar and chaired the Young Lawyers Division. She has been a speaker and planned seminars on bankruptcy related topics throughout her twenty five plus years of practice. Ms. Cordes utilizes her interpersonal skills and professional relationships with other attorneys to provide the best legal representation for her clients.
Ms. Cordes has practiced law in Charlotte, NC since 1992. Prior to forming Cordes Law, PLLC, Ms. Cordes practiced law in Charlotte, handling various litigation and bankruptcy cases. Ms. Cordes has appeared before the bankruptcy courts of the Eastern, Middle and Western districts in North Carolina and has represented clients in the state and federal courts in Mecklenburg and surrounding counties. Ms. Cordes focuses her practice on assisting individuals and companies in workouts and representation regarding all types of debtor-creditor and bankruptcy disputes. Ms. Cordes is a certified Superior Court Mediator. At Wake Forest University School of Law, Ms. Cordes served as President of the Student Bar Association.
